Healing Chance provides integrated physical therapy with a holistic approach for horses on all competitive and non- competitive levels. The main focus is to provide an injured horse a speedier and more complete recovery than if left alone, enabling a faster return for the training and a healthy career - thus, giving him a chance to heal. The holistic approach to healing focuses on assisting the body’s natural healing processes and may be applied for preventative care, during the onset of illness or injury, or for post-injury or post-surgery rehabilitation. The combination of modalities I have chosen to practice form an integrated approach for overall health, and none of them have any side effects or drug interactions; they are completely safe and non-invasive for providing long-term healing. These healing approaches includes:
discomfort and pain. Some major areas of concern for the training of a competitive horse may be muscle strain, ligament/tendon stress or injuries, loss of range of motion resulting from restrictions or past trauma, joint erosion, and other chronic, hard-to-heal past or degenerative injuries. My holistic approach is to initiate the body's own healing process, find the underlying causes that may prevent the horse from the complete healing by integrating all or some of the techniques above depending on the needs of the individual animal. Additional benefits from these complementary modalities include support for the overall health and well-being of the horse, balanced energy, improved circulation, stress reduction, alleviated muscular tension and pain, improved posture, and increased fluidity and efficiency of movement. I am a Certified Large Animal Massage Therapist located in Estacada, Oregon (Clackamas County). My business is founded on a passion for horses’ well-being on all levels—physical, mental and emotional. |
